The cuisine and décor of the restaurant recalls the Plantation Era when many ethnic groups came to work on the sugar plantations. Everyone brought something to the table to share with each other.  Cooking styles intertwined as races intermarried. And so emerged the Mixed Plate Cuisine. The family keepsakes in the shadow boxes on the wall and tin roof echo the period, style and architecture. Our multi-ethnic employees contributed the artifacts representative of their unique cultural contribution – from their attics and storage rooms – to share with our visitors.
